learning to protest at city congregation

Adult Perspectives

Our annual Day of Social Action

Please join us as we practice activism for our goals!

Donate

Bring loose change or bills to donate money for the causes our kids have chosen – to be announced at the event.

Donate baked goods and fresh fruit to our bake sale!
(Please let Alyson Silverman-Caruso know if you will be bringing items for the sale)

Donate Toiletries/Hygiene Items and School Supplies for homeless and runaway teens who use the services at Covenant House.

Craft Activities

We will be arranging two craft activities for the kids.

  • For Pre-K through Grade 3, we will connect with “Pillows for Paws” to make toys for shelter cats and dogs.  Please bring small, clean socks!  Used is totally fine.  We can turn them into cat toys.
  • We will make cardboard tubes filled with straw and cranberries, which https://www.rational-animal.org/index.html use for rabbits and other small animals. If we can bring tubes from paper towel rolls to decorate, that would be helpful.

Help People Vote!

For Grades 4-7, we will write postcards and letters to help register and re-register voters who fell off the rolls so that their voices can be heard. We will decorate these postcards and letters in order to personalize them.
(The organization we will be helping are https://votefwd.org/ and Reclaim our Vote!)
